Optikos, an optical engineering and manufacturing services provider, announced on September 29 the acquisition of Omega Optical, bringing design, manufacturing and testing under one ownership to deliver a complete optical workflow.

A team led by Researcher Zhang Ge at the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics and Wang Gong's team at the Technology and Engineering Center for Space Utilization, Chinese Academy of Sciences, published a paper in Light: Advanced Manufacturing proposing a binder jetting additive manufacturing method for graphite/silicon carbide composite powder that improves particle flowability and promotes the conversion of free silicon into secondary silicon carbide.
