Credo Technology Group Holding has launched the Short-Reach Micro-Emitter optics (SRMO) Workstream within the open compute project (OCP). With industry partners, Credo will develop specifications for high-speed data center interconnects, addressing the need for interoperable interconnects as wide, parallel micro-emitter technology drives new form factors across rapidly evolving scale-up and scale-out fabrics in AI data centers, according to the company.
