On the morning of April 15, 2026, Huang Xurong, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, led a delegation to Hangzhou Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics (hereinafter "Hangzhou Institute of Optics") for an inspection and guidance visit. Sun Wei, member of the Standing Committee of the Fuyang District Committee, and heads of relevant departments accompanied the visit. Qi Hongji, Director of Hangzhou Institute of Optics, and Zhao Hongxia, Deputy Director, warmly received the delegation.

In the exhibition hall of Hangzhou Institute of Optics, Deputy Director Huang Xurong and the delegation listened to a detailed report on the institute's development achievements, with a focus on its innovative practices in recent years. Rooted in the vertical hard-tech field of optoelectronics, Hangzhou Institute of Optics has built an innovative full-chain incubation system that is modular, standardized, professional and customized, achieving notable results in R&D of key frontier technologies, efficient commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, and the aggregation and empowerment of optoelectronics industry talent, and has explored a distinctive path for industrializing scientific and technological achievements. During the visit, Deputy Director Huang Xurong fully affirmed the institute's incubation results and its capability to industrialize scientific and technological achievements, saying its practical model offers replicable and scalable experience for hard-tech incubators. She encouraged the institute to continue deepening its full-chain incubation system and help more scientific and technological achievements reach commercialization.

The visit by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology not only reflects the government's strong commitment to and concern for the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements, but also builds an efficient communication bridge between Hangzhou Institute of Optics and policy makers. Going forward, Hangzhou Institute of Optics will continue to serve as a bridge from "high technology" to "industrialization," work closely with government departments, precisely match enterprise needs, and keep empowering incubated companies to achieve industrial transformation. Through concrete actions, it will fulfill the mission of "two-way integration" and contribute more to the development of Zhejiang's optoelectronics hard-tech industry.
